The team leads the area’s water resources and water quality strategic planning.
You'll work with the team and your network across the area’s functions and national teams to identify environment planning priorities and maximise outcomes by making the best use of resources.

We are fully committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve.
Alongside this, responding to incidents is a central part of what we do at the Environment Agency. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
- The team- The Integrated Environment Planning (IEP) Team works to ensure we achieve the greatest environmental outcomes. Working with operational teams, national colleagues, water companies and consultants, the team collates, analyses and shares data to produce environmental evidence that informs and drives area priorities and investment.
This role provides direction and leadership to the IEP team and forms an integral part of our EPE Leadership Team.
- Experience/skills required passionate about managing, developing, and supporting a team with multiple priorities and competing demands.

- able to balance and manage demands on the team from internal and external sources to help prioritise and manage workloads.
- an excellent communicator, who can influence teams and partners to think strategically when delivering environmental outcomes.
- able to influence the delivery of outcomes through others, often across multiple teams, and to influence our partners.
- Contact and additional information- The role will be based at Trentside Offices, Nottingham and whilst we have developed a more flexible approach to remote working, you will be expected to attend Trentside at least once a week.
