**Retail Sales Assistant**

**You will report to**: eCommerce & Marketing Manager

**Your Direct Reports**:

- **Purpose**

It is all about the “throw down” and how potters know the best kilns, best clay and glazes and your job is to make sure Potterycrafts is their favourite place to shop. There are also the sculptors too We talk about passion, but it is key to build this brand, be it professionals, artists, and those who just want to have fun making something they are proud ofyour purpose is to connect all of this through your expertise and great customer service

**Accountabilities & Responsibilities, your day-to-day role. We will not bullet point, to the point of forgetting why the job is so great - this is just to give you an idea.**
- Support the operation, marketing, customer service, and sales within our Showroom & Store at our head office in Stoke.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit to store.
- Process customer orders and transactions and take payments
- Develop and document operating and in-store merchandising model through test & learn to support future store roll out programme
- Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services
- Ensuring all areas of the store remain tidy and are merchandised in a way that is inspiring & inviting for our customers to shop
- Carrying out stock replenishment and picking from warehouse

**About You**
- Focussed on Customer and understand how to deliver a great experience
- Good level of knowledge and expertise in Pottery is a must
- Curious with a desire to learn and develop. Keen to find better ways to do things.
- Able to work within a small team and prepared to roll up your sleeves and help others when required.

**Salary & Benefits**

Band C

24-32 hours per week (Tuesday & Thursday required)

25 Days Holidays Plus Bank Holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 38 per week

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 1 year (required)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
