**Overview**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Co-ordinator to join our B&Q 2-person Home Delivery Contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient self-starter who can help us move our payroll function forward and take a key focus on continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone looking for work part-time, 30 hour per week, Monday to Thursday with a salary up to £20.000

**How will you contribute?**
- Working within the People team, you will report to the People Manager.
- Responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, including monitoring new starters, leavers and changes.
- Data entry of payroll data ensuring accurate administration.
- Responsibility for Time & Attendance validation via Kronos and obtaining sign off for payroll.
- Responsible for ensuring payroll data accurately reflects absence, sickness absence, maternity leave, paternity leave, etc.
- Resolving all payroll queries from employees.
- Compliance with payroll timetables and policies.
- Responsible for completing absence reporting and analysis on a weekly basis
- Liaising with our central people services team on pay queries and processing payments
- Absence reporting and analysis
- Ad hoc project work as required.
- General associated admin duties and support for other positions within the People Team

**What will you bring?**
- Previous payroll experience gained within a finance, payroll or HR role is desired.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience of Kronos and / or Oracle desired but not essential
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Have an eye for detail and be proactive, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a wider team.
- Ability to learn several systems quickly and thoroughly.
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
