The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in providing proactive business and office management support to the Regional Chief Nurse as well as delivering an effective service, supporting managers and staff across the Directorate.
**Specifically, the post holder will**:
Organise and manage meetings, both face to face and virtually, including the preparation of agendas, minute taking and tracking actions and timeframes as appropriate.
Provide effective diary management for the Regional Chief Nurse, ensuring appointments are planned and coordinated.
Assist with the setting up and management of effective business processes to facilitate the smooth running of the business office and to improve and develop current practices, working with other team members to achieve best possible outcomes.
Handle significant quantities of confidential and sensitive information in the appropriate manner, maintaining confidentiality, discretion and trust at all times.
Organise and manage internal and external events, arranging venues, assisting with travel arrangements and sending and managing invitations.
Provide papers, presentations and other similar documentation as requested within organisational timeframes and supporting team members to understand their individual priorities and work requirements.
Have a flexible approach to work in line with the needs of the business.
Use their own initiative to provide effective and accurate communication on behalf of the Senior Managers as and when necessary, managing demands, priorities and communication effectively and solving simple queries appropriately.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
