Graduate Quality Engineer

Excellent opportunity to join a successful manufacturing business as a Quality Engineer.

The role of Graduate Quality Engineer will involve:

- Working with other departments, communicating and investigating quality issues
- Identifying faults in supplier products, dealing with and resolving supplier quality issues
- Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Assisting with the APQP process and improvements projects across the business
- Ensure customer relationships by effective management of non - conformance, complaint and rectification
- Support new product introduction core tool implementation and optimisation
- Ensure and drive the implementation and adherence of quality standards
- Assist with improvement projects
- Lead customer driven activities and complaint resolution
- Actively participate in QRQC & practical problem solving (8D)
- Identify & lead improvement projects focused on quality, cost and delivery
- Undertake Non-conformance, product review and implement improvement
- Run production trials, produce reports and results
- Ensure CSR maintenance
- Create and maintain quality standards, SOP's and documentation
- Provide training to production team members in relation to new products and quality standards
- Manage control of documents, deviation and change control
- Conduct product audits

As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:

- Hold a relevant quality, manufacturing or engineering degree and have some work based experience within manufacturing
- Be a confident communicator able to work with people at all levels and obtain vital information
- Have working knowledge of APQP tools and 8D problem solving
- Be persuasive and a good negotiator able to get people onside quickly to resolves issues
- Be a great problem solver
- Have comprehensive knowledge of quality and manufacturing systems
- Have confident computer skills ideally with excel and SAP
- Have accurate administration and report writing skills
- Be able to present and discuss quality issues confidently
