This Harrogate based business provides a range of combustion and heat transfer equipment to a worldwide customer base in the oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, pharmaceutical, food, tobacco and defence industries. Their products include indirect anddirect fired process heaters, thermal oxidisers, vaporisers, firefighting training systems, control systems and fuel skid packages, including pipework and instrumentation. They provide a complete service, including conceptual studies through detailed design,fabrication, installation, commissioning, and a comprehensive after-sales service.
The role will be across all functions of the business, as their projects are completely tailored to the needs of the customer. This means that you will be involved in controls engineering, electrical and software design, cause & effect diagrams, and safetyand integrity checks. In addition, you will gain an insight into purchasing, cost control, project planning, customer liaison, quality, and site work including installation and commissioning support. Furthermore, you will also develop software and ensure functionalsafety is completed to client specifications and internal and external standards.
You will have a degree that covers the functions of control engineering, either in Electrical, Electronic, or Chemical backgrounds. You will be using Siemens and Rockwell software, so knowledge of these platforms would be advantageous, however you will be giventraining and support. You must also demonstrate solid communication skills as you will be working in potentially hazardous environments, and to be able to work effectively with a variety of departments, liaising professionally with customers, and respondingeffectively as projects evolve.
