Our client is a family-owned business based in Chester that are leading experts in their market, delivering excellent and high quality products to their customers. They are now seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their loyal and well-known brand.
The key responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk will be:
- Process and calculate employee salaries and wages accurately.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records.
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of paychecks or direct deposits.
- Calculate and deduct appropriate taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Handle enquiries and resolve issues related to payroll discrepancies.
- Keep payroll information confidential and secure.
- Use payroll software and tools effectively to streamline processes.
**The Successful Applicant**:
- Have relevant experience within Payroll.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong in EXCEL
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work well individually as well as with a team.
