We interact with thousands of patients annually, from outpatient appointments to surgery to correct cataracts and helping to manage other eye conditions. Our services are delivered through a variety of models including Managed Services and primarily Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) Partnerships, with each eye centre focused on providing excellent care to their communities. We have significant growth plans as we look to establish a national footprint and open many new sites over the next few years.
**Overview of the role**
Reporting into a Senior Contracts Manager, the Contract Management Coordinator provides crucial administrative support to the Contracting Team.
This team are responsible for the maintenance, fulfilment and maximisation of critical contractual relationships with NHS Bodies (ICBs and Trusts) and Private Medical Insurers.
NB - This is a fixed term contract of 10 months minimum, covering a maternity leave.
**So** what will I be doing?**
This is a role for a very well-ordered person who loves administration, being organised and organising others Someone who enjoys working with process and has a high attention to detail.
Reporting and compliance is a big focus of the work of the team, and you’ll be managing the monthly reporting process to various ICBs and overseeing the portals where new business opportunities are accessed, including collation of data, uploading and downloading pertinent information and ensuring Newmedica is signed up to any new opportunities.
As well as the NHS contracting element of the role, you’ll also be heavily involved in the coordination of Private Medical Insurance admin with internal stakeholders and the range of private medical providers we work with.
The role is home based with travel to the clinical sites and our office locations in Nottingham and London as and when required.
**What experience do I need?**
We are looking for someone who has a healthcare background and has a good understanding of the sector and the processes and roles working within it. This experience could have been gained in the NHS or in an independent healthcare provider.
You’ll have a penchant for coordination and administrative duties, and whilst there are routine elements of the role, it also affords the individual the opportunity to undertake a wide range of tasks and to have exposure to a variety of different people. As such you’ll have a flexible approach and will be well versed at being proactive and working under your own initiative.
You’ll be comfortable interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders. As an ambassador for the Contract Management Team, you’ll be building solid and long-lasting working relationships across all levels, with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and employees alike.
Your verbal and written communication skills and grasp of the English language will be excellent. Ideally, you’ll be used to collating reports and issuing business-related communications.
This is a great role for an experienced administrator who loves coordination work and wants to continue in this field or alternatively it could also be for someone who wants to build on their experience by gaining exposure to and building understanding of various business areas with a view to progressing into different roles in the future.
