A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a Logistics business based in Hertfordshire. You will be responsible for the day to day operations which will include Warehouse & Stock, Transport, H&S, Facilities and CustomerServices. You will drive a culture of departmental collaboration and drive process efficiencies and enhance individual and team performance.

Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and deploying an operational strategy that meets the business objectives
- Overseeing the daily site operations whilst taking full responsibility for the operational budget and drive effective cost control, through process efficiency and enhanced performance output
- Responsible for forecast labour planning
- Drive operational excellence and best practice across the business focusing on continuous improvement work streams improving performance
- Create development plans and succession planning and ensure training opportunities
- Ensuring all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented, trained and adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring all operational process are in place and followed to support the compliance requirements.
- To maintain and improve performance levels both in terms of service and financial control.
- Engage in projects which further develop network capacity.
- Driving and facilitating change to enhance business growth

Operations Manager Requirements:

- Bond experience is advantageous
- Experience with open and closed contracts within a multi user site operation
- Management experience with knowledgeable of both transport and warehouse operations
- Experience of managing budgets and commercially minded
- A motivational, forward thinking and adaptable style of leadership - consistently investing in your people.
- A good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics.
- The ability to communicate at all levels with an understanding of engagement and motivational tools and techniques
- Ability to deliver multiple requirements to tight deadlines and react to change
- A strategic thinker with the ability to implement ideas rapidly and to plan proactively
- Have an understanding of the key cost drivers within a business and how to affect them
