Sitting within Application Solutions, the Senior Business Analyst will also undertakereviews, analyses and evaluates business systems alongside user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. **Main responsibilities and Accountabilities** - Able to assess request for BA assistance and agree with requestor suitable output, estimate of effort and dates for delivery - Taking the senior role on large scale projects where more than one BA is required to break and lead BA effort into suitable deliveries - Liaise with other Senior BAs across the other global regions to feed into and collaborate on best practice to ensure consistent output and global demand where BA are required across multiple regions - Act as mentor for junior members of the team in both the region and back office functionality so that they can learn and progress on their BA journey - Undertake a full requirements process from either a functional or non-functional perspective, ensuring the value of the features being requested links with the overall objective and organised into priority to aid delivery - Ensuring the customer needs are at the forefront of the analysis so their voice is heard in the decision making - Articulating the AS-IS and TO-BE concepts in clear and concise language so that interested stakeholders can fully understand what choices they need to make and the consequences of each action - Able to consume data from a variety of sources, distil into a readable format and provide concise and clear conclusions that can be used to validate items being produced in a project - Assist in defining the problem with a current solution or uncovering the opportunity within a current proposition that have yet to be established - Taking a holistic approach of considering People, Process and organisational structure when evaluating requirements and not just the IT needs - Perform strategic Gap analysis on current eco systems against the needs of the business - Conducting a full discovery on business areas to identify opportunities to provide improvement over short, medium and long term - Supporting project or product teams when requested during the analysis and planning stages of software development - Evaluating risks and predicting potential problems from both a specific product or project feature to a wider general strategic vision - Facilitating meetings and educational workshops for team members or project stakeholders to acquire specific needs - Undertaking a comprehensive cost/benefit analysis that able to determine clearly whether an idea or opportunity is worth investing in - Support and mentor other analysts in Business Analysis techniques in "bronze" listed projects - Work in a variety of project scenarios including from change management, agile and waterfall, providing added value where possible - Ability to remain impartial presenting factual evidence rather than anecdotal **Experience and Education Requirements** **Education**: - Obtain or strongly working towards BCS International Diploma or equivalent - Education to degree level **Experience**: - Knowledge in Pension, Health and/or Career sector would be an asset - 5 years minimum as a Business Analyst - Experience in lead and managing portfolio of work and/or people a bonus **Key Competencies** **Technical**: - Strong planning and organisational skills - Evidence based decision making skills - Excellent Microsoft Office products including Visio and Excel - Able to embrace change from either internal or external influences - Able to cope with high demand required by stakeholders - Strong understanding of product development lifecycle - BPMN notation in process modelling or equivalent - Able to interact and communicate with different levels of stakeholders from exec members to SMEs - Maintain high standards of both orally and written outputs tailored to individual stakeholder needs **Behavioral**: - Commercial Credibility; - Communication; - Drive & Resilience; - Planning and Organising; - Delivering Solutions; - Driving Change & Improvement.
