**Data Protection Advisor**

We are looking for a Data Protection Advisor to join the Group Data Protection team for the market leader in its sector. The role can be homeworking or hybrid with the expectation that you will attend London offices Leighton Buzzard / Milton Keynes for occasional team meetings.

You will be responsible for assisting with the oversight of all aspects of the group data protection compliance programme and advising group companies on the data protection aspects of their work. You will work as part of a second line team reporting to the Group Data Protection Officer.

You should have a demonstrable interest in and applied knowledge of data protection. This is a role that is highly varied in a fast-moving commercial, market leading, organisation

**What will you be doing?**
- Being an active member of the Data Protection team working in a collegiate manner to determine how to further develop the data protection compliance programme.
- Supporting the implementation of Data Protection Control Frameworks across multiple data controllers.
- Supporting Group companies to keep their Records of Processing Activities up-to-date using OneTrust.
- Leading on management of Data Protection risks.
- Ultimately leading the review of Data Protection Impact Assessments from group companies and business areas.
- Develop and rolling out Data Protection related training on specific topics of interest.
- Helping to manage interactions with the Information Commissioners Office.
- Playing a role in data incident investigations.
**Who are you?**
A graduate with excellent academic credentials an understanding of the UK GDPR and the related regulatory environment.
- Demonstrably focused on a career in data privacy.
- Experience of working on practical data privacy compliance issues in a fast paced, commercial environment.
- Self-starter but equally a collaborator and team player:

- Able communicate in a manner which conveys the message in a way which can be understood by the recipient,
- Ideally have prior knowledge and expertise with OneTrust.
