**Role Overview**: As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will take on a leadership role within our team, providing high-level support to young people aged 16-25. You will be responsible for developing and overseeing care plans, offering expert guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services. Additionally, you will mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and effective team environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert one-on-one and group support to young people aged 16-25
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with other professionals
- Offer crisis intervention and ongoing emotional support
- Facilitate access to mental health services and community resources
- Lead, mentor, and support junior staff members
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of interactions and progress
- Participate in and lead training and development sessions
**Essential Requirements**:
- Proven experience in mental health support, particularly with young people
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential
- Resilient, empathetic, and patient with a deep understanding of mental health issues
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Superior organizational and record-keeping skills
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Additional training or certifications in mental health support
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role
