Self Employed Venue Coordinator

**Job Overview**:
Great Bow Wharf is a community building with 10 office units, which are occupied by tenants, a leased cafe and a community room which is available to hire. We are looking for a self employed venue coordinator to oversee daily operations. The venue coordinator will make an impact by maximising revenue generation for the charity that owns the building from room and office hire. This role will lead on the day-to-day operation of the building, liaising with customers, suppliers, tenants and maintenance contractors as required.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for handling all aspects of room bookings and enquiries.
- Responsible for marketing to promote venue hire and events.
- Ensure the venue is clean, well-maintained, and meets all safety regulations.
- Liaise with the finance department on all invoices and payments relating to the building.
- Arrange all maintenance for the building.
- Lead on fire alarm tests, maintenance and procedures.
- Manage all utility matters, including bills and meter readings.
- Regularly generate social media posts aligned to venue hire and events.
- Create a monthly report for the board of Trustees
- Organise and attend Trustees meetings
- Liaise with tenants on a regular basis and solve any issues or queries
**Person Specification**
**Essential**
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised and methodical
Competent and confident in the use of IT, including MS office
**Personal Qualities**
Self-motivated and pro-active, with a positive outlook
A highly professional manner with ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders
Able to support others and work collaboratively
**Desirable**
Experience in leading on venue hire, location hire or income generation for venues
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
Flexible and able to attend the venue out of hours
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £11,000.00-£15,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week
