**Buyer (Peterhead)**

**Buyer: Providing technical support to the Score Group Supply Chain Team**

We are looking for a **Buyer** to be the main interface between Score Group and their clients.

The Buyer is responsible for obtaining quotations from suppliers, raising purchase orders, expediting orders and maintaining supplier relationships. As well as issuing and analysing “Request for Quotation” (RFQ) to supply base.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
- Place all Purchase Orders for assigned/supplier spend
- Obtain order confirmations within agreed timelines
- Manage delivery of all orders and expedite accordingly
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Support Senior Buyer on delivery of Score Group Procurement strategies
- Assist Stores team with any delivery queries
- Assisting Accounts team with resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
- Issue and manage requests for quotations to supply base
- Awareness of Fraud/Irregularities
- Possible requirement to travel may arise
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

**Experience**
- Previous experience within Supply Chain environment
- Previous experience within a purchasing role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Previous experience working with ERP systems
- Sound working knowledge of MS office package - word, excel and PowerPoint
- Effective communication skills
- Honest and reliable
- Ability to work well as a team member and to take own initiative
- Commitment to continual improvement and flexible approach to change
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering HS&E excellence
