**WHO ARE WE?**

Jets activity club is a ‘not for profit’ community interest company (CIC) Supporting local primary aged children with fun and engaging activities after the school day finishes from 3.30pm-5.30pm.

**Job Title**:Children's Activity Coach

**Location**: West Lothian ( West Calder High School, Calderwood Primary School and Winchburgh Primary School.)

**Hours**: up to 14 hours per week or we can be flexible to work around other jobs and studies to enable you to gain the experience and skills you are looking for.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Children's Activity Coach to join our team. As a Children's Activity Coach.

You will be responsible for developing and leading innovative programs that engage, challenge, and inspire children of all ages after their school day ends (2.30pm-5.45pm). You will provide guidance and support to children, helping them build skills, relationships, and confidence while fostering a love of learning in a fun and safe environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement creative and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Engage children in games, sports, and other activities that encourage positive social interaction, teamwork, and good sportsmanship
- Create a warm and welcoming environment that promotes respect, kindness, and inclusivity
- Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure that programs are tailored to meet the needs and interests of each child
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and feedback
- Continuously evaluate and improve programs based on client feedback and performance data

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience working with children as a camp counselor, teacher, coach, or mentor
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with children of all ages and abilities
- Creativity and imagination, with the ability to develop and lead engaging and innovative programming
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire children
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Must be reliable, punctual and professional in appearance and demeanor

**Hours**

Monday - Thursday 2.45pm - 5.45pm during term time

Friday - 12pm-5pm ( Optional )

Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm during school holidays ( optional )

Overtime (offered and optional)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 3-14 hours per week

**Salary**: From £10.60 per hour
