Retail/events Senior Supervisor

In this position you will be working between our retail and event space at Hopetoun House.

Main Responsibilities
Your role will include, but not limited to, the following duties:
To maintain the day to day running of Hopetoun House and any areas used as part of this operational space to the Company standards, within the agreed specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative, and financial targets.

This a customer facing role, so all admin tasks must be completed out with key service times. Presence within the restaurant is expected during peak business operational hours.
- Day to day running of the designated retail spaces, including opening, and closing procedures.
- Coach and support the team on the ground to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Provide support to the Assistant Retail Manager to plan and promote additional activities, seasonal promotions, and customer engagement.
- Adhere to all H&S and Food Safety Laws as set out by the company.
- Comply with all legislation.
- Experience working in events, dinner service, bar & cafe work is essential.
- Experience with cash reconciliation would be advantageous.
- Experience with reporting customer complaints or compliments and taking remedial action if possible.
- You will be able to comply with all Company & client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace.
- You will ensure that all relevant checklists have been completed, adhered to, and updated as required.
- You will assist with staffing levels to ensure the retail area is run as smoothly as possible.
- You will ensure high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance, and cleanliness always.
- You can communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant, polite, efficient, caring, and friendly service to customers and clients in all areas of service, which Sodexo provide.
- You will participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job responsibilities to the Company’s and Client’s standards e.g. health & safety, food hygiene.
- You will work as a team to promote harmonious working relationships within the Sodexo group.
- You will report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action or advice as may be appropriate.
- You will comply with all Sodexo Company policies/procedures as well as client site rules and regulations.
