**The Role**

We are now seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager, reporting to the Managing Director, who will take a leadership role for the operational development and delivery of our service.

You will manage a team of 30 ambulance staff and have the ability to create and maintain an efficient method of operation to support the growing needs of the business. You will be comfortable multitasking, creating, developing and maintaining client andstaff relationships and working in a pressurised, fast paced environment.

Our business operates 24/7 and therefore flexibility is paramount. This is not a 9 to 5 role and you may have to travel and work away from home and be available for occasional weekends and evenings. You will also participate in our on
- call rota.

The Operations Manager will be the first point of contact between staff, clients, and the company. You will need to work effectively as part of a team to resolve any issues that arise and liaise daily with other healthcare professionals inc. Paramedics,Nurses & Doctors as well as representatives from other emergency services (fire & police).

An important part of the Operation Managers role will be to manage and motivate ambulance crews and ensure there is an effective system of operational inspection of the fleet of vehicles and all associated equipment. This will include but is not limitedto planning of the workforce rosters, staff appraisals and compliance, vehicle roadworthiness, daily inspection of the fleet of vehicles by the staff and any defects are reported, vehicle deep cleans are organised in a timely manner and liaise directly withour vehicle support network to repair and maintain vehicles.

**The Person**

Working full-time, the skills and qualities we are looking for:

- Must have experience of working in a similar role.
- Must have a flexible approach to working hours.
- Proven customer service / people skills.
- Strong ability to problem solve and multitask.
- Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle the foundations of a heavily regulated workplace.
- Ability to oversee the running of the operation.
- Be able to motivate the team environment.
- Proficiency with ALL Microsoft Packages.
- Must be able to remain calm whilst working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ensure H&S, regulatory, compliance and governance are strictly adhered to and continuously improved.
- The ability to make decisions, take responsibility and respond to an ever-changing workload.
- A valid Full Driving Licence, preferably C1 Category, with no more than 3 points or any short period disqualification.
- A full enhanced DBS check is required.

If not already qualified, you will receive the appropriate training to operate as an ambulance crew member so you can fully support the staff.
