I have just been briefed on an excellent, permanent opportunity for a very well established property business based in modern offices in the heart of Manchester city centre. My client is extremely ambitious and has grown significantly over the past fewyears, As Service Charge Accountant you will report into a vastly experienced and established Financial Controller and your duties will include:

- Involvement in the setting of Annual Service Charge Budgets
- Service Charge cost apportionment calculations
- Coding and processing of Service Charge invoices and costs
- Review of budget versus actual costs during the year
- Processing Service Charge demands
- Performing a Service Charge accounting year end reconciliation
- Close liaison with Property Manager on budgets and accounting issues
- Performing bank reconciliation for the service charge
- Any ad-hoc queries arising with the asset
You will have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, have experience of double entry journals and work with a high level of attention to detail. Experience of working in the property or construction sector would be advantageous but by no means essential.
