Courier Transport Service Driver

We are seeking a full-time Courier Transport Service Driver to collect and deliver goods to various locations as required, in an appropriate vehicle. Responsible to Estates Officer (Engineering) for day to day workload.
- Check oil fuel levels and safety aspects of vehicle before commencement of daily runs i.e. tyres, brakes, lights, steering etc. reporting any defect to the Estates Officer.
- Maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy condition.
- Collection/delivery and sorting of mail, the tracking of bar code records bags, pharmacy, controlled drugs, samples, laundry and other items designated by the Estates Officer. This may include a regular schedule.
- Transportaion of miscellaneous items e.g. medical equipment, meals and office furniture.
- Maintain drivers daily log sheet

The Estates Team is part of the Corporate Directorate and supports all Directories in the Trust. The Estates Team consists of approximately 25 staff and is a reactive service with frontline staff. The Facilities Team are much wider and work in conjunction with the Estates Teams.

- Maintain any records required by the Estates Officer
- To maintain safe driving methods and statutory speed limits at all times, reporting to the Estates Officer any summons received relating to the Road Traffic Act.
- To advise the Estates Officer of any difficulties encountered during shift
- To ensure adherence to the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Check oil fuel levels and safety aspects of vehicle before commencement of daily runs i.e. tyres, brakes, lights, steering etc. reporting any defect to the Estates Officer.
