The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) works on behalf of the Mayor of London to ensure the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is efficient and delivers the priorities of the
**Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan**. This is an exciting time to join MOPAC’s Community Engagement and MPS Oversight Team as we build our team to ensure we can support delivery of the Police and Crime Plan and the Mayor’s priority to increase trust and confidence in the MPS by enabling community-led oversight and scrutiny of policing in London.
We are seeking to recruit two Programme Officers (Community Engagement & MPS Oversight) who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team, leading and managing community-led oversight programmes, training, workshops, and other community events.
This is a varied role where you will use your high-level communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure community oversight informs policing policy, delivery and strategy. You will attend local forums and meetings to represent and promote MOPAC programmes and gather community insights. This will involve some evening work and you will put your excellent presentation and public speaking skills to great use.
You will be flexible and comfortable working across communities in London, MOPAC office locations and in the remote home office environment. You will also be just as ease working with data and information to inform briefings, reports and recommendations for action.

**Where are we based?**
We have moved to a hybrid working model with office hubs at
**Union Street** (near London Bridge) and Newlands Park (postcode SE26). On average staff will work 1-2 days a week from an Office Hub, but this may differ depending on the role requirements.
