**Programme Officer - Evaluation & Learning**
Intergovernmental body is seeking an experienced Programme Officer to join their Evaluation and Learning team at their central London headquarters.
**This is a temporary role to start ASAP for an initial 6 month period and will pay £26.55 per hour PAYE.**
The Programme Officer will play a major role in the delivery of evaluation and learning plans of the organisation. They will be responsible for ensuring high-quality evaluation outputs are developed and communicated to meet the informational and accountabilityrequirements as well as for organisational learning and enable strong supportive links between monitoring, evaluation and programme planning and management. They will also be responsible for the effective programme management of evaluation studies and learningevents in line with the plans and targets while ensuring adherence to the organisational policies and guidelines.
The ideal Programme Officer will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

- A degree in Management, Public Policy, Strategy, International Relations, Development Studies, Development Economics or a relevant social sciences discipline;
- Previous international experience of managing programmes and projects; planning; and results-based management in an intergovernmental or development context; with experience in managing and conducting research and evaluation studies.
- Practical experience of planning, implementing and disseminating results of monitoring and evaluation studies.
- Experience in designing, planning and coordinating learning events.
- Ability to handle and analyse big datasets, including in the conduct of multi country reviews.
- A post graduate qualification in Project Planning and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Results Based Management or Prince 2 Certification will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding in the processes of undertaking programme reviews, evaluations and critical research.
- A good knowledge of adaptive planning, monitoring and management in complex and dynamic environments.
- Excellent drafting and report-writing skills, as well as research and analytical skills and ability to produce succinct and concise briefs and specific pieces of work, demonstrating an ability to think strategically and tactically and communicate effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; able to communicate technical concepts effectively with non-experts.
- Working knowledge of organisational strategic planning and Results Based Management principles and practices.
- Good IT skills, including experience in the use of MS Office including Access and advanced skills in statistical packages.
- Willingness to undertake duty travel when required.
