Senior Caregiver

**Position**: Senior Care Giver
**Location**: Hove, BN3 4LA
**Salary**: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour (Mon-Sat), £14.50 - £16.50 per hour (Sun), depending on experience
**Hours**: 36+ hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join a reputable care home in Hove. In this role, you will lead and support a team of care workers, ensuring exceptional care for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Care Delivery**: Provide safe, effective, and compassionate person-centered care to residents.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, manage, and support the care team.
- **Resident Care**: Oversee and regularly review care plans.
- **Shift Management**: Supervise shift operations, ensuring high standards.
- **Medication Administration**: Safely administer and record medications.
- **Resident Support**: Assist residents with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating, and bathing.
- **Environmental Maintenance**: Maintain the tidiness and safety of residents’ rooms and common areas.
- **Training and Development**: Support new care assistants and participate in training sessions.
- **Communication**: Maintain effective communication with residents, their families, and external agencies.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- QCF or NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Proven experience in a care home environment
- Experience with shift leadership and management
- Ability to lead, motivate, and encourage staff
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable Qualifications:

- QCF or NVQ level 4/5
- Nursing qualification (expired pin acceptable)
- Experience and knowledge of dementia care

Pay: £13.50-£16.50 per hour
