Your future employer is offering a fantastic opportunity for an NPD Manager to join their rapidly growing business, and oversee the growth of their team. They are offering an extremely competitive salary of £45k-£50k for the position. The position will involveproduct and menu development as part of their meal preparation operation. Previous New Product Development experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential for the position, and previous management position is desirable.
Expected duties for the NPD Manager include:

- End to end menu development including photo shoots, recipes, cooking methods, and packing specs
- Set up a robust menu development planning process (SOP)
- Regularly review the competition and keep the business informed on what's available in the market
- Arrange weekly taste panels, with measurable feedback
- In combination with concept development, the position also encompasses benchmarking, product matching, EPD (existing product development) problem solving and cost reduction as part of the overall site development strategy
- Innovate new offerings through keeping ahead of trends and checking on the competition
- Using CS feedback constantly react to improve and reduce complaints
- Develop and evolve an extremely attractive and highly rated menus focusing on customer reviews, data and eating experience
- Ensure menu changes and new offerings are communicated to the wider team
- Keep ahead of new processes and equipment to make sure we can produce product in line with customer expectations
- Work with commercial and finance teams to ensure all products are commercially viable and adhere to the financial hurdles set out by the company, develop products of the highest standards within the agreed budget
- Work with Quality Control Manager to ensure the products are safe and we have clear specifications and recipe control
- Alongside the Purchasing Manager work with suppliers to make sure we always get variety and quality at a commercially viable price
- Accountable for Internal system meal reviews +4.5 star menus
- Ensure you are fully trained and up to date in all aspects of Health, Safety and Food hygiene regulations
- Batch recipe testing and sign off
