We are looking for a motivated individual with good lab-based skills to join our Late Chemistry Development team - positions are open to Senior level.
The Details...
The role will involve:

- Leading the late-stage development of sequencing adapters and protein nanopores.
- Protein, peptide and oligonucleotide purification development, primarily using HPLC.
- Biomolecule conjugation and chemical biology.
- Protein/DNA characterisation using a wide array of techniques.
- Technology transfer to both internal and external manufacturing teams.
- Managing multiple projects in a very fast paced and agile environment.
- Working and communicating effectively with other groups in Development, Applications, Research and Production.
What We're Looking For...
- Several years of industry experience is preferable.
- Significant hands-on experience in HPLC and associated techniques.
- Experience handling proteins, peptides or oligonucleotides.
- Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong desire to learn and build on the role.
- Ability to plan own workload and train junior members of the team.
Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

- Working with external suppliers or CMOs on critical projects.
- Protein or oligonucleotide chromatography and its method development.
- Detailed protein analytical and biophysical characterisation.
- In-depth understanding of chromatographic equipment, HPLC, CE or FPLC.
- Training, managing and supervising more junior scientists.
