We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Sequencing Development Team as a Development Scientist.

The Details...

This exciting and challenging role will assist in the development and continuous improvement of the sequencing chemistry within our core sequencing platforms, in order to improve consistency and drive higher output.

The new hire will work in the Sequencing Chemistry team, within the Development department. The sequencing chemistry team are responsible for improvements and integration of new electrochemical systems and new/novel biological setups, therefore a backgroundin Biochemistry or similar is essential.

What We're Looking For...

PhD or Degree plus equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology or in a relevant physical/biological area

Working knowledge and experience of basic laboratory techniques and apparatus e.g Pipetting, heating equipment and use of thermocyclers.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation.

Good problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role will involve constant interaction within a multidisciplinary team and with other stakeholders in Research, Development, Production and informatics teams.

Experience with Linux, Python and/or IPhython notebooks is recommended but not required
