Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with an established educational organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant.The position is hybrid working, with 2-3 days based at their Southwark based office the rest worked from home and would suit a part orfully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

- Various month end duties including production of reports and invoices, reconciling accounts
- Accounts Payable duties including payment runs, coding of invoices, statement reconciliations
- Responsible for reconciling direct debit payments and balance sheet account
- Assist in developing new internal financial procedures across AP and AR function
- Assist with the Credit Control function
- Answer invoicing queries and if necessary, initiate raising and issuing Credit Notes
- Assist with general customer queries
- Management of incoming payments through WorldPay/Bank Transfers and allocating onto finance system
- Journal posting as required
- Involvement in finance project work as required

To be considered for the role of Finance Assistant, the following skills are required:

- Experience of working in a similar position
- Experienced in working with ERP system
- High numeracy problem-solving skills and initiative
