**Our team in Shrewsbury are recruiting for 2 x Criminal Justice Recovery Workers**, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. Our Recovery Workers work with our clients to help them to determine what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them back onto the path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - you will manage an active caseload of clients, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity.
Criminal Recovery Workers provide interventions for people who have involvement with the criminal justice system. The CJ Team works collaboratively with other services including probation & prison service. You will have experience of working in a health social care/substance misuse setting, working with complex clients.
You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. A driving licence is desirable, but not essential, for this role. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.
**Please note, this is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026, and working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.**
**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months
- have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
- have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
- be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
- be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work
- have good oral and written communication skills
- be comfortable using IT and digital media
- be organised and able to manage your time effectively
- able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion
- be happy to support other With You locations when needed
You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check
