With expertise in a comprehensive range ofcyber security and risk management services your role as a Cyber Security Consultant is to provide expert cyber security technical advice, guidance and support across the company's diverse range of clients.

As the Cyber Security Consultant, you will be responsible for either implementing or reviewing the ongoing execution of Security Assurance for our clients by using your knowledge of controls, people, processes, and technology as they relate to informationsecurity. You will be working closely with clients to ensure the delivery of expertise in information security assurance with good technical ability combined with the skills to deliver business risk advice at all levels.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Undertaking security assurance assignments
- Agreeing scope and terms of reference including any controls testing required
- Supporting governance by delivering Security Assurance against mission critical services and business risk
- Supporting clients to understand their security maturity and assurance levels
- Supporting clients to achieve its target security maturity level as efficiently as possible
- Interviewing key staff and gathering evidence
- Upskill in-house team regarding assurance processes
- Undertaking testing and evaluation
- Developing recommendations and proposed assurance levels
- Producing informative and succinct reporting.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Experience of working in an HMG environment
- Good knowledge of NCSC guidance
- Relevant experience in a cyber security related role
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Knowledge of Industry standards and best practice for IT management and cyber security
- Excellent understanding of risk management and assessment principles and frameworks
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage own time and work to deadlines. Desirable

**Qualifications**:

- ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
- CISSP or CISM
- CRISC certification
- CP SIRA.
- Ideally have an SC clearance - if not, willing to undergo government security clearance process
- Eligible to work in the UK and have the appropriate right to work documents
- Be aligned to the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) Levels 4 and 5
- Have qualifications are to be appropriate to the SFIA.
