Camhs Duty Lead

Banbury, United Kingdom Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Looking for your next role as a Mental Health Nurse in Banbury?

We have introduced the role of CAMHS Duty Lead to lead a small team that responds to duty requests on behalf of the CAMHS Getting More Help service. The team is made up of a CAMHS Duty Clinician (Band 5), who would regularly work on duty alongside you as the post holder and a core CAMHS clinician, who rotates into duty each day (Please see the team structure diagram included in the JD).

As the Duty Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing duty and participating in the urgent assessments of young people that are undertaken each day. The post holder will organise and communicate which duty team member is undertaking which assessment depending on the clinical need of the patient and the clinician’s experience.

This opportunity is for an experienced clinician to develop their clinical leadership skills and support the Clinical Team Manager by overseeing duty and identifying patients that need to be seen sooner or to use their clinical expertise to help resolve a situation before the point of crisis. As the post holder, you will work closely with all Getting More Help staff and the Oxfordshire Crisis Response and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT).

This is also a great opportunity to develop your own experience supporting the CAMHS Duty Clinician (Band 5) and contribute to their professional development.

Benefits of working for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust include:

- Excellent opportunities for career progression
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with an increase to 33 days with continuous service
- NHS Discount across a wide range of shops, restaurants and retailers
- Staff accommodation
- Competitive pension scheme
- Lease car scheme
- Cycle to work scheme

We have designed this duty team to be able to support one another and benefit from the vast experience and different approaches of the core CAMHS clinician that will rotate into duty each day with you. This will ensure that you are supported by the full MDT and helped to keep your own wellbeing, and that of the band 5 CAMHS Duty Clinician a top priority.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions at all about this role. We really look forward to hearing from you.

**Please Note**:

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
- Oxford Health is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
