The Clinical Quality Assurance Advisor is a key member of the Quality Assurance Team. The role is fundamentally about driving best practice and high standards throughout the business by auditing and coaching their branch teams to ensure that Nurse Plus meets its legislative, professional and regulatory requirements. This role will have a particular focus on clinical quality within the business and ultimately act as a clinical advisory within the branch network. The Clinical Quality Assurance Advisor is expected to lead by example and recognise the individual abilities within the branch network in order to identify and mitigate risk

The main duties of the Recruitment Consultant role include:

- To ensure the business is following up-to-date clinical guidance and evidence based practice.
- To maintain a robust working knowledge of current recommended clinical practice.
- Drafting clinical policies, procedures and documents where a need is identified and ensuring these are updated to reflect current NICE guidance.
- Act as an advisory to staff around the business with regards to clinical queries, particularly clinical incidents and safeguarding’s.
- To be responsible for auditing a network of branches in accordance with an agreed schedule to ensure these branches meet the requirements of the CQC fundamental standards, company policies and procedures, as well as current legislation.
- To produce an audit report following the completion of each audit, assigning a risk rating to the branch, and publish this report to the Branch Manager and Senior Management.
- To ensure branch audit findings are effectively followed up to ensure findings are corrected and preventative measures have been considered.
- Provide branches within the support and coaching they require in order to maintain compliance.
- Where compliance is a concern, work with the branch on achieving compliance through guidance, suggestions of proven successful working practices and close monitoring.
- Developing and enforcing an action plan where necessary, checking that action plans have been met and completed within set time scales.
- Report to the Head of Quality Assurance and Training on individual branch compliance performance and highlight any concerns you may have.
- To assist branches in preparing for a CQC inspection, including guidance on the completion of contact lists, Provider Information Requests and preparing their team for inspection.
- To provide guidance and support in relation to complaints, incidents, accidents and safeguarding’s.
- To mentor and coach the branch teams based on real, practical experience, providing them with ideas and suggestions which assist them in building effective systems and processes for quality assurance.
- To assist in conducting training sessions to provide staff with the knowledge and tools needed to deliver a service which is compliant and of exceptional quality.
- To lead by example, be willing to travel, and be available to Branch Managers for guidance and support
- Holder of a professional healthcare qualification.
- Experience in a clinical/care setting.
- Experience with risk assessing complex care needs.
- Experience with auditing.
- Experience in training.
- Experience in policy and document writing.
- Computer literate.
- Driving license.
