Welcome all guests on their arrival and assist them in a courteous, helpful manner with registration and when checking out of the hotel.
- Assist guests throughout their stay in a friendly and professional manner, informing the Supervisor/Manager of any complaints.
- To be fully aware of the hotel cash handling and credit procedures and to report any discrepancies to your Supervisor immediately.
- To operate the hotel switchboard, answering it to the company standard, ensuring that all messages are correctly handled and processed immediately.
- To be constantly aware of the hotels availability in order to maximise all opportunities to sell rooms at the best possible rate.
- To monitor all guest accounts and to make sure all charges posted are correct with supporting documentation.
- Assist the Porters/Concierge department where applicable. This may involve dealing with luggage, providing information and booking services as required.
- To take a reservation according to company standard during periods when the Revenue Office is unmanned or busy, ensuring all necessary information is completed and recorded accurately.
- To upsell all hotel facilities within the hotel to guests
- Be fully aware of all functions and facilities within the hotel, i.e. opening/closing times of breakfast/dinner.
- Ensure good working relationships with colleagues in the Reception area and other departments of the hotel. To be liaise closely with Housekeeping and Revenue Office, advising them of departures, arrivals, stay-overs and any special requests.
- To ensure that once guests are checked out to ledger the accounts are checked against their correspondence to ensure accurate details are recorded.
- Consistently deliver superior customer service
- To attend training when required
- To be fully aware of and adhere to Health and Safety, fire, bomb threat and security procedures
- To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and company rules and regulations as identified in the team member handbook.

**Salary**: £19,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
