Work In liaison with Departmental Managers, Matrons and Medical Staff to facilitate emergence of an open, learning environment across the Directorate.
- Provide support to staff in the development and implementation of Clinical Governance within Women and Children’s Directorate including providing expert knowledge in respect of guidelines
- Facilitate the integration of clinical audit, professional education, clinical and research effectiveness within the Directorate
- Act as a resource and advisor on all aspects of Governance within the Directorate
- Develop and maintain systems for dissemination of clinical governance, clinical effectiveness and evidence based practice materials
- Support Patient Safety Lead in preparing for and monitoring progress towards maternity CNST standards
- Develop and maintain links with Clinical Governance
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Directorate Action Plans
- Support and encourage staff to undertake clinical audit based on the results of complaints, critical incidents, risk management issues and/or evidence of effectiveness, ensuring a unified approach across sites, and utilising results to change practice where this is
- Co-ordinate production, updating, unification and dissemination of clinical guidelines including Delivery Suite guidelines and patient information leaflets
- Co-ordinate Clinical Governance half day activities in conjunction with Clinical staff
