**About Directorate**
Barnet Public Health is a large and friendly team committed to development and innovation based in Colindale, North London. Our focus spans from health protection to the built environment, from adult heath improvement to children and young people, and public health commissioning, each with large portfolios to deliver. We have good links with other Council departments, excellent relationships with the voluntary sector and have established firm connections with schools, other educational providers, and services. We also have strong links with the NHS, both from a commissioning perspective and from partnerships. We are a training location and accept both Public Health and GP registrars, in addition to support dieticians and pre
- reg nurse placements.
**About the role**
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic health improvement officer to support the development of our work programmes for improving Children and Young Peoples public health. This involves a broad breadth of work with an initial focus on Resilient Schools and Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and portfolios relating to CYP mental health
**About you**
Master's degree in public health related discipline or equivalent experience. Experience in the field of mental health of children and young people and/or education.Experience of conducting needs assessments and service review analyses and disseminating their findings (with the ability to communicate complex information to specialists and non-specialists). Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
