Location: Northampton

20 hours per week (8.30am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday or 4pm - 8pm Monday to Friday )

As a Healthcare assistant you will be part of our wider nursing and clinical teams focusing on our Patients and their rehabilitation, daily activities and care. The role is really varied, and requires physical fitness as well as patience, accountabilityand people engagement skills. Knowledge and experience of working with similar patient groups can be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible with the hours they can work, who are able to demonstrate high standards of care and empathy, and who possess good communication skills alongside good IT literacy.

To be a Healthcare Assistant in mental health care, you'll need to be:

- Resilient
- Caring and kind
- Cheerful and friendly
- Willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc.)
- Able to follow instructions and procedures
- Able to work in a team but use your own initiative

You'll also need:

- Communication and listening skills
- Organisational skills
- Observational skills
