Purpose of the role
Man Group’s Quantitative Investment Services team is responsible for writing and providing high quality client communication to the firm’s diverse client base around the globe. As such, the team plays a vital role in all aspects and stages of the client experience and is fundamental to the on-going and future success of the firm’s business.
This role is a 12 month maternity cover, focused on providing client content for Man Group’s Man AHL investment engine. Man AHL is a leading systematic manager with a focus on absolute return and balanced risk approach strategies.
The role requires working closely with Man AHL’s investment and CPM teams to perform a wide range of writing and project management duties. This includes writing DDQs/RFPs, answering ad-hoc client queries and maintaining standard materials. Based in London, the role will involve working alongside both the client portfolio management team (‘CPM’), client relations and senior sales personnel in Man’s Riverbank House office.
Specific responsibilities
- Write, develop, and deliver the full range of Man AHL focused collateral, making use of proximity to the Man AHL teams in London.
- Work closely with Sales, CPM, Portfolio Management and key stakeholders across the business to write bespoke RFP/DDQ content and content of the highest quality. Ensure that the latest fund research, analysis and messaging is incorporated.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior sales/ CPM/ key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities and initiate projects where Quantitative Investment Services can add value for Man AHL’s CPM and Business Management teams and Man Group’s sales force.
- Be a senior resource for junior members of the wider Quantitative Investment Services team.
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree level education in a relevant discipline required. Financial qualification (e.g., CAIA) preferred.
- 4-8 years’ experience writing client focused content in the alternatives space. Experience writing on systematic alternatives preferred.
- Proven experience in writing, editing and delivering high-quality RFPs and DDQs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in understanding institutional / retail client expectations and requirements.
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments based on a broad understanding of the business requirements.
- Ability to develop strong-working relationships with stakeholders across the firm and embrace engaging with these individuals.
- Excellent time management skills to succeed in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mind-set to support your colleagues, as well as experience working independently.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
