PG Assist Ltd is a specialist managed service provider and we provide laboratory, administration and misc. support services for a large, highly respected blue-chip company, who create branded goods and services across the Globe.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our forward thinking and dynamic organisation in a stock control, materials management role. This is a full-time role to be based within the Materials Management department at our client’s site in Longbenton. Working from home is not possible with this role.
The Materials Management team centres around goods ordering, receipt, correct registration and storage/retrieval of the chemicals and materials required by the site.
This role involves monitoring stores stock (consumables/chemicals/stationary), re-ordering as required. It also involves goods in/receiving of deliveries, checking against delivery notes and following up as required. This aspect of the role can be quite physical, as it involves carrying the stock and deliveries to the onward location.
There is also some chemical waste management involved in this role, which involves separating site chemicals into the appropriate waste stream, to then be removed from site for correct disposal.

- Excellent record keeping and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to use bespoke IT systems.
- A strong mastery of English in verbal and written communication is critical.
- The ability to develop strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
- The ability to solve practical problems and improve working processes and systems.
- Excellent self-discipline.
- The ability to work independently and deliver towards deadlines.
- FLT experience desirable.
Full training will be provided for the specific IT systems.
