Inclusive Learning Assistant

The successful applicant will be part of a team providing group and 1:1 support to learners in a variety of curriculum areas such as health and social care, public services, foundation learning, etc. to enable them to overcome barriers to learning and help them to be successful in their programme of study and beyond. This may be support with direct elements of the programme and/or personal care support.
We are seeking applicants who are flexible, supportive and possess a minimum of level 2 English and maths qualifications. A qualification at level 2 in supporting learners would be helpful, but is not essential. Experience in providing personal care support would also be helpful but not essential, as training would be provided.
West Lancashire College is a general further education College based in Skelmersdale. We’re one of the largest employers in the West Lancashire area, employing almost 200 teaching and business support staff.
We offer academic, technical and professional qualifications at a range of levels as well as Apprenticeships. Each year we work with over 2,500 further education and work-based learners, both young people and adults, of all backgrounds and abilities.
