The Business Improvement Team provide essential business support to the L&D Service Managers across North Northamptonshire Council and Northamptonshire Children’s Trust.This role provides essential administrative support for all Learning and Development activities. You will be part of a busy, customer‑focused team, ensuring that all customer needs are met efficiently and professionally.Part‑time/job share options would be considered. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for all L&D enquiries, managing emails, calls and correspondence. Provide end‑to‑end administrative support for course bookings, including liaising with advisors, trainers, suppliers, booking venues, uploading course details onto the LMS (iLearn) and managing delegate communications. Schedule regular individual course owner meetings, coordinating all course administration for the L&D Open Programme. Produce a range of documents and monitoring reports for advisors, including course/delegate monitoring reports, registers and evaluations, to support efficient service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues, and provide on‑site customer support at conferences and training events. Manage diaries, schedules and stock control for training supplies. Support financial processes including raising invoices, journals and purchase orders. Undertake other duties as required within the scope of the role. About You Proficient in MS Office and internet/email usage. Strong literacy and numeracy skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prepare and analyse data for management reports. Experience working as part of a team providing administrative support. Ability to work to deadlines. Openness to occasional travel to external venues to support conferences and training events outside normal hours.
