The No1 School of Technical Training, forms part of the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering (DSAE) and is located at RAF Cosford. We provide initial aeronautical engineering training to new recruits along with specialist training to improve and develop existing RAF technicians. We also deliver the same training to International students under government agreed contracts where RAF Cosford has achieved a very high success rate. This has positively influenced and enhanced our reputation as Defence leaders for inspiring excellence in training delivery. RAF Cosford remains a site of growth and expansion with numerous projects and partnership developments being explored and undertaken.

Your role as a data administrator is important for the accurate recording, regular maintenance and control of essential training and student data held within various management information systems and secure network document storage areas. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital as the individual will be required to respond to enquiries and requests from a wide variety of personnel, and other departments, often at pace. Some of the main job holder activities are described below. However, any applied change initiatives may require tasks to be developed or even added to the role to meet business objectives.
- Coordinate the student’s health monitoring documentation in collaboration with the regional medical centre.
- Conduct student pre-graduation checks of training data reporting discrepancies and/or errors to management for action.
- Update the Trainee Performance Portfolio System (TPPS), establishing new course templates ready for data input.
- Identify and report TPPS errors or irregularities to training managers for correction.
- Collate training / trainee data, information, records as required by management for presentation as at school execs (KPI’s, issues, feedback).
- Archiving of completed course records to approved storage areas (secure SharePoint sites).
- Filing of electronic forms and records to trainee files.
- Be adaptable and flexible to change.

Ex Armed Forces regular or, have knowledge and experience working for the Armed Forces.

Familiar with using data storage and collection tools.
