Marketing Assistant

In this position, you will also be responsible in managing our portfolio of clients marketing requirements for their conference or exhibition to their target audience via a range of marketing channels - generating a revenue opportunity for the business.

**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**
- Plan, develop, execute and manage effective campaigns in line with the annual marketing and business plan
- Copy write strong and compelling content and have a good eye for detail when proofreading collateral for both online and offline communications
- Thoroughly understand our key products and their offerings, customer profiles and unique selling points and be able to clearly articulate with our audiences.
- Monitor and record committed marketing spend against the budget for campaign activity.
- Report and manage the performance of activity and make recommendations to further develop our approach and continually improve ROI.
- Update and manage the in-house databases
- Promote, sell and manage EventCity’s proactive marketing services to new and existing clients.
- Consult and provide tailored marketing plans to event organisers’ focusing on the target audience, demographic and marketing budget.
- Continue to build and endorse the brand reputation of EventCity with new and existing clients to ensure it is always set apart from competitors
- Manage and review competitor activity across all channels and report into the team on a regular basis
- Measure and report on the success of client’s campaigns and provide recommendations on how performance can be improved
- Clearly communicate marketing activity to internal departments to ensure awareness across the teams, circulating activity, reports and messages at all times.
- Manage, respond and interact with enquiries and activity across the social media channels for EventCity
- Manage enquiries and respond appropriately liaising with the relevant departments where necessary
- Represent EventCity at key events where required and build rapport with clients

**Specific Knowledge & Skills Required**
- Have a robust understanding of both online and offline marketing communication disciplines.
- Educated to degree level preferably within marketing or business and have at least 1 year in a position of relevant experience.
- Excellent creative and copy assessment skills plus exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience of supporting a marketing team with events / hospitality experience being desirable.
- Ability to take a copy brief and write engaging and compelling copy.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of digital/print production
- Ability to multitask and deliver simultaneous projects on time and on budget
- Team working skills, ability to communicate, engage and work across departments and businesses
