Strategic Pursuits Manager, Flexible on Location

Key to the role is taking charge of the end-to-end pursuits process from market engagement to bid evaluation, document, presentation and debrief, driving Service Line teams through the bid, with the right planning to ensure they know what to deliver when,at the right level of quality to maximise their success.

You will work alongside the Strategic Pursuit Senior Managers, the Public Sector Advisory bid team or the Large Corporate key account team, focusing on multi-Service Line opportunities or complex bids in the large corporate and public sector space for ourtax and advisory service lines.

**A look into the role**

As a Strategic Pursuits Manager within our Marketing and Business Development team, you will:
Project manage and drive the bid process, including working on international bids which may involve coordinating input from our international member firms
Have a hands-on approach to support fee earners with bid no bid evaluation, project management, document production, meeting and presentation preparation, debrief and post bid evaluation
Take up client tender opportunities by producing high quality deliverables, ensuring a best practice approach to planning and managing client interactions and be a great support to teams in ensuring we put ourselves in the best place to win
Help build the right pitching team from around our business, and ensure clear ownership /sponsorship, working closely with the Strategic Pursuits Senior Managers/PSA bid team/Key account managers on each opportunity
Draw in and manage resources where needed, including internal support teams (eg design/research) and third party suppliers
Identify emerging trends from the market and collaborate within the pursuits team to respond and evolve accordingly
Help upskill fee-earners across the firm so they are positioned for success - this includes guiding teams and individuals in live pursuit scenarios as well as delivering basic bid training and providing advice and guide on procurement procedures and regulation

Joining us as a Pursuits Manager the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience working within a pursuits and bids role previously project managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and processes.

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

You will have knowledge of working with procurement teams across the public and private sectors and best practice in these scenarios
You will have knowledge and experience of public procurement processes, including frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems
Confidence in managing, influencing and challenging internal senior stakeholders
You will be able to establish business relationships and networks quickly and effectively
Knowledge of the wider sales cycle would be beneficial
