**Overview**:
We're currently recruiting for an M&A Integration Manager to join our Integration team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in M&A activity and make a valuable contribution to Phoenix Group's strategy. You will work with all parts of the organisation on complex deals and programmes. Ideally suited to somebody looking for a varied and challenging role working in a fast-paced environment. With this comes the opportunity to rapidly build experience, skills and relationships across our business.

The team supports all aspects of the M&A deal life cycle, including:
- Supporting Corporate Development in origination activity
- Due diligence,
- Target operating model development and integration strategy and planning
- Preparing cost inputs for M&A transaction pricing
- Overseeing and actively managing the Integration programmes for new acquisitions
The team also supports other key group-wide strategy and business development projects where relevant skills and experience apply.

**The Role**

As an Integration Manager you will play a leading role within the team throughout the M&A deal lifecycle for new acquisitions, including managing the programmes to integrate them into the Group.

You will work with a broad set of senior stakeholders across our business to coordinate activity and inputs during the transaction phase and in managing delivery through the integration. You will take a hands-on approach, often acting as a consultant and providing support to areas across the Group to ensure we deliver maximum value from M&A activity. You will also need to work effectively with our external counterparts and partners

You will be expected to take ownership of solving complex issues, with the ability to quickly understand and address them, often supported by bringing together experts from within the Group and our external partners.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Carrying out due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including managing input from key SMEs across the business and preparing summary due diligence reports.
- Defining and documenting the Target Operating Model for acquired businesses.
- Developing Integration roadmaps / plans to support transaction processes.
- Conducting cost base and synergy analysis for input into transaction pricing.
- Mobilising and day-to-day running of Integration Programme Office activities to drive these large, cross-divisional / functional programmes.
- Preparing key management information packs and reports on an on-going basis to support the governance processes. Ensuring the information is appropriately pitched for the audience.
- Managing project / programme / sub portfolio / portfolio risks, ensuring relevant standards are adopted for their effective management, as well as challenging accuracy and completeness. Identifying appropriate risks for escalation.
- Managing conflicting priorities for self and team at all times, and communicating clearly across all stakeholder groups where priorities and interests may be in conflict.
- Managing relationship with 3rd party / counterparty Integration Programme offices to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
- Owning the resolution of key issues to support smooth delivery of our Programmes.

**What We're Looking For**

- A proven track record of delivery of large complex projects / programmes within a fast-paced environment
- Experience of industry project / change management methodologies, e.g.: Prince 2, APM, MSP or similar
- Experience of M&A deal activity (e.g. Operational & IT due diligence, Integration strategy and planning)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and influence a variety of stakeholders across the business and externally
- Commercial acumen and ability to challenge to ensure an appropriate balance between risk and reward
- Someone who can operate with flexibility, overseeing a large portfolio of work with variable priorities and deadlines and can replan/ reprioritise quickly, in line with business needs.
- Experience communicating resolving complex issues effectively
- Financial Services industry experience preferred
