Assistant Buyer

We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Childrenswear team - if you answered yes to the above and have a passion for the Mini Superbrands and Mini Designer categories, then keep reading.

About the role

The Assistant Buyer role is to assist the Senior Buyer in the development cross all omni channels (store, online & airports) and both operational models (own bought and concession). Responsible for briefing suppliers, managing a critical path, reviewing samples and providing the buyer with market information and identifying new opportunities, you will need creative flair, combined with an eye for detail and exemplary organisational skills.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a passion for this market sector, maintaining awareness of the current market trends to lead the company forward with directional styling and standards. You will require a high level of organisation, with the ability to prioritise responsibilities and work to tight deadlines.

Specifically you will possess:

- Good PC literacy (Word, Excel and preferably SAP)
- Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task
- Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to Harrods values.
- Ability to perform duties effectively with minimum supervision and guidance
- Leadership skills
- Passion for the Childrenswear category
