CK Group is recruiting for a Biometrics Application Developer to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry who are based in Hertfordshire. This will be a 12 month contract, remotely based, and has been deemed outside of IR35.

You will work within a large group of data scientists across the globe. They deliver data and insights about the company medicines with excellence and passion. Their mission is to unlock the full potential of data, to accelerate innovative healthcare solutionsfor patients and society.
The main purpose of the role will be to simplify, innovate and collaborate with experts within and outside of the group to create efficiencies in clinical trial data collection, data storage, data processing, and data analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides development and support to project teams on systems, standard tools and technologies utilized
by the Data Sciences user community.
- Provides technical expertise in SAS, R, R Shiny, Python, and serves as a go-to person on programming
technical issues for the user community.
Your Background:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific/related field.
- Extensive programming (5+ years) experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced technical knowledge of SAS.
- Good knowledge of R, R Shiny or Python.
- Extensive experience in the development and execution of project user requirements, validation plans,
development and implementation.
- Ability to create high quality software products based on sound quality practices (e.g. Unit testing) and
- Experience with software development workflow including versioning and code collaboration with Git
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines for the
development of tools to facilitate creation and support of deliverables by Data Scientists.
