We’re looking for a dedicated and community-focused professional to represent Cheshire East Highways as the first point of contact for public enquiries and service requests.In this key role, you’ll build strong relationships with local communities—especially parish and town councils—to understand their priorities and concerns.Working collaboratively within a supportive team, you’ll help ensure a safe and well-maintained highway network by identifying and commissioning maintenance works in line with policies, contracts, and strategic objectives.If you’re passionate about delivering excellent customer service and making a real difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you.**The Role**
- Respond to service enquiries for a designated area, conducting inspections and investigations to determine appropriate actions
- Provide outcomes in line with policies, strategies, business plans, and customer expectations.
- Meet customers on-site to discuss highway issues, explain technical matters clearly, and manage expectations within policy and budget constraints.
- Build and maintain relationships with town/parish councils and community groups.
- Identify and implement improvements to support and promote service delivery.

**About You**
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- HNC in Construction or equivalent (desirable).
- Excellent verbal and good written communication skills are essential.
- Good IT skills are essential, particularly MS Office and GIS systems is desirable.
- Experience dealing with service users, sometimes in challenging situations in a face to face environment, by telephone or in writing is essential.
