Job Title**:Origination Associate**

Reports To**:Head of Origination**

Department: Development

Based at: Flexible at Iver, Buckinghamshire or home-based.

Responsible for: Defining, validating and securing EV Power and GRID POWER prospects. You will be a key contributor to our site origination strategy, drawing on the broader in-house development skills within the Department to focus on securing the most valuable development parcels.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To target, engage and secure new sites for EV Power and GRID POWER opportunities.
- To convert a pipeline of site leads through the early-stage land acquisition process.
- Pipeline, and partnership relationship manager for a range of Client prospects for both our EV Power and GRID POWER product portfolio.
- Regular interface with the wider Development team to align origination activities with the product requirements.
- Weekly reporting to Head of Origination on progress made across the pipeline.
- Regular attendance at stakeholder/network events.
- Provide development support at key partnership meetings.
- To manage leads progression through our Opportunity Management software.
- Assist in other related duties as and when requested by GRIDSERVE Senior Management.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001)

**Skills required**:

- Degree or higher degree level qualifications in a related discipline (real estate, planning or engineering) is desirable.
- Ideally 3+ years’ proven track record in a comparable business development capacity across road-side retail, infrastructure and/or energy sectors.
- Must be able to demonstrate the successful origination of business development opportunities (either specific projects or as part of a framework).
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of the land acquisition process.
- Commercial acumen, proven through successful project budgetary management.
- Highly self-motivated with an ability to define and adapt project targets to ultimately get projects delivered.
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of the EV charging markets
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills (including Microsoft packages)
- Excellent presentation, written and communication skills
- Proactive approach to finding solutions
- Excellent organisational skills, with a proven ability to successfully multi-task.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across different levels in and out of the organisation
- Proven ability to nurture client relationships.
- Ability to be realistic and solutions focused.

**Other Requirements**:

- The role may involve ad hoc travel to the international offices in the EMEA or APAC regions.
- Valid passport.
- UK Driving License.
- 40 Contracted hours a week.
