Lettings Negotiator

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic lettings negotiator & maintenance coordinator to join our lettings team which is based in both Pocklington and York.
As a smaller independent company you will be expected to be adaptable to both the lettings and sales side of the agency depending on what is needed at the time.
Daily office administration duties to include answering the phone, booking viewings and managing our database for both the sales and lettings departments.
You will predominantly be based in the lettings department.
Your role will include:
- Carrying out viewings
- Processing paperwork and organising move in’s.
- Inspections
- Organising gas safety certificates & EICR's
In addition, experience dealing with maintenance tasks would be beneficial as we are looking for someone who will be expected to manage and co-ordinate maintenance as and when it arises, liaise with landlords and contractors on these matters as well as book in, monitor and carry out inspections of our managed portfolio.
Manage and organise all relevant certificates needed for each property.
You will play a pivotal role on a daily basis in ensuring the smooth operation of our managed property portfolio, so confidence with the tasks at hand is key.
As the role is diverse, fast paced and with a strong focus on information, to be successful in this role you must be highly organised, confident in manner, personable and approachable.
This position is available on a full or part time basis but will include Saturday working on a rota.
The role is for an initial period of 14 months however there may be the option of continuing on in the position dependent on returning members of staff on maternity leave.
**For the role you must have**:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, be numerate, positive and resilient
- Be confident with tech & IT literate
- Hold a Full UK driving licence

RM English is a long-established family run independent Estate Agents with offices in both York City Centre and Pocklington.
We are a proactive team with significant experience across the board in Residential Sales, Lettings, Commercial property and Agricultural land. We are proud members of the RICS with a number of our firm being RICS Chartered Surveyors.
As a lettings department we have a growing managed portfolio which stems from York to Hull and everywhere in between.

Pay: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
