Due to an expansion in work; my established heavy engineering client needs an experienced Project Control Manager to oversee a variety of Projects during a large capital expenditure. Due to the nature of the works, it is anticipated that this position willbe primarily site based, and will sit inside IR35.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaise with the Finance function to understand how cost is managed within the client core business systems and develop and administer appropriate systems to manage and report cost.
- Liaise with the programme Planners and Finance function to undertake WBS-CBS mapping in accordance with RICS NRM to establish robust performance measurement baselines.
- Liaise with the programme Planners to understand how schedule, cost and earned value is managed within the programme planning systems and develop and administer appropriate systems to report schedule, cost and earned value on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with the Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Planners to ensure the plan is updated with accurate schedule and cost progress in a timely manner to support monthly reporting.
- Liaise with the Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Planners to understand programme risks and develop and administer appropriate systems to manage and report risk.
- Liaise with the Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Planners to understand programme baseline change and develop and administer appropriate systems to manage and report baseline change.
- Develop, brief and implement overarching Project Control Management Plans.
- Liaise with programme suppliers as required to ensure Project Control systems operate effectively across buyer/supplier interfaces.
- Undertake functional leadership and line management as may be required.
- Subject matter expert in programme Project Controls.
- Ability to develop WBS-CBS in accordance with RICS NRM and establish robust performance measurement baselines.
- Understanding of how Project Control systems interface with client ERP systems and ability to develop effective programme procedures to manage and report cost.
- Understanding of earned value management systems and ability to develop effective systems to report schedule, cost and earned value.
- Understanding of change management procedures and ability to develop effective systems to manage and report change.
- Understanding of risk management procedures and ability to develop effective systems to manage and report risk.
- Ability to influence within cross-functional teams to add value to programme management procedures.
- Demonstrable experience in successful Project Control of major construction/infrastructure projects.
