**Serco Vehicle and Airfield Support Equipment Technicians (Mechanical) GEF Blended** **Location:RAF Brize Norton Carterton, Oxfordshire, GB, OX18 3LX** **Contract Type:Full Time** **Salary - £27,879 - £29,098 + Benefits** At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997.Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and groundcontrol services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, you will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You’ll also be part of the widerteam, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site. We are recruiting for two levels of Technicians - Dependent on skills and experience you could be employed as a Technician or a Senior Technician which had additional supervisory responsibilities. The Serco Aircraft and Equipment Technicians are responsible for: Working directly alongside RAF colleagues you will be responsible for Maintenance and rectification of a variety of vehicles and equipment that support Brize Norton Airport and Airfield Operations. The list includes but is not limited to: HGV Vehicles, Runwaysweepers, aircraft de-icing vehicles, cargo lifting and handling equipment aircraft domestic water and toilet trucks and Land Rovers. **Working Regime**: Mon-Fri 37 Hour week Mon - Thu 8-hour day shifts Fri - 5 hour shift -lunch time finish Standby call out of hours commitment. Standby for emergency week duty is completed from home. This commitment attracts additional pay. Overtime as required. On the Job Training will be provided. **Key Competencies/Abilities**: - Ability to integrate into teams. - The ability to understand, implement and to adhere to: - Technical Work Procedures. - Health & Safety Instructions. - Serco Operating Procedures. - Ensure compliance with fire, emergency evacuation, quality, Risk, and COSHH standards and procedures. - Maintaining a clear, safe, tidy, effective and efficient working environment.
