**Salary - £32,000 + Benefits**

At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997.Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and groundcontrol services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, you will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You’ll also be part of the widerteam, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site.

The Serco Vehicle and Airfield Support Equipment (RAF Ground Equipment
- Blended) Team Leader is responsible for:

- Leading and managing a Team of Serco Technicians integrated into and working alongside the RAF Ground Equipment Team. The “Blended” Whole Force Team.
- Leading the Serco Team in maintenance and rectification of a variety of vehicles and equipment that support Brize Norton Airport and Airfield Operations. The list includes but is not limited to: HGV Vehicles, Runway sweepers, aircraft de-icing vehicles,cargo lifting and handling equipment aircraft domestic water and toilet trucks and Land Rovers.
- Recording and tracking of maintenance hours provided to our customer RAF Brize Norton.
- People Management of the Serco Team - absence management - appraisals (circa 20-25 colleagues).
- Participation in RAF Ground Equipment Team Management Meetings. Acting as the focal point for Serco GEF Team.

**Working Regime**:
Mon - Fri 37hr week

Mon - Thurs: 07:45 - 16:30 (45 mins for lunch)

Fri: 07:45 - 12:45

Occasional “Standby” out of hours commitment.

Standby for emergency week duty is completed from home.

This commitment attracts additional pay.

Overtime as required.

**Key Competencies**:

- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team:

- Completing maintenance, inspections, repair and rectification of RAF Brize Norton Vehicles and Airfield Support Equipment.
- Completing the removal and refit of assemblies and components - working in accordance with maintenance schedules, workshop manuals, technical publications and parts catalogues.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely fashion and to health and safety, fire, emergency evacuation, quality, risk, and COSHH standards and procedures.
- Maintaining a clear, safe, tidy, effective and efficient working environment.
